Connecting Principles & Practices in Preschool

In this training, participants will explore the dynamic process that takes place while teaching and learning alongside young English language learners in preschool settings. Through the use of current research, the training will focus on understanding the principles of second language development. The session will emphasize oral language acquisition of children learning their first language as well as strategies utilized by English language learners. Participants will build on effective practices for supporting English language acquisition through the implementation of research-based interventions.
