Dating Violence Prevention

This online training module will fulfill the HB 19 requirement. HB 19 mandates education about violence in dating relationships for grades 7-12 and mandates specified staff members to be trained about violence in dating relationships by October 2011 and every five years after the initial training takes place.

This training module contains information on Dating Violence Prevention, which includes but is not limited to:

• Basic principles of dating violence and its consequences
• Dating violence prevention
• Identifying warning signs of dating violence
• Characteristics of a healthy relationship
• Build skills to talk with teens about the importance of a healthy relationship
• Identify prevention strategies that promote positive school environment.

This training module is self-pace and participant will need to complete all online readings, activities, and quizzes to successfully complete the training.  A certificate of completion will be available up on successful completion.
