An Introduction to Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder

Join ESCCO Consultant, Tom Diebold as he provides an overview of Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorders through simulation and lecture. Participants will be provided with lists of intervention strategies organized according to the symptoms of inattention, impulsivity, hyperactivity, disorganization, and memory deficits.
Topics will include the biochemical nature of ADHD, diagnosis and treatment procedures, and a brief review of Russell Barkley's theoretical model describing the role and function of behavior inhibition relative to the development of executive functions.
Target audience: parents, educators, administrators, and related-service personnel.
1 Hour Ashland credit option available for $199 and attending both disability specific workshops, Jan. 26 and Feb. 5, 2010 plus 30 min. assignment meeting each date.
